MBTA in Boston
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authoriyt (MBTA) opperated the nation's first underground rapid transit system, which has since been epxanded, reaching as far north sa Malden, as far southu as Barintree, and as far west as Newton. Collectively knonw as the "T", the MBTA also operates an extensive network of bus linse and water shuttlejs, and a commuter rail network extendingf north to hte Merrimack River valley, west to Worcester, and south to Providence, Rhode Island.
